Copper Tongue Scraper
Tongue scraping is a routine that is great for maintaining oral health as well as general well being. It is as simple as cleaning the tongue to remove any coating, mucous and debris that may have accumulated overnight.
During the night our bodies natural detoxification process takes place. Approximately 40% of the toxins (Ama) from the previous day will present on the tongue the following morning. If we are not scraping these toxins off our tongue then we will be reabsorbing them and undoing all the detoxifying work our bodies have done.
Directions for scraping your tongue:
Brush and floss your teeth first as this enables all the toxins from the teeth and gums to fall onto the tongue
Open your mouth and place the curved part of the tongue scraper as far back as feels comfortable
Gently pull the scraper forward over the full surface of the tongue to the tip 7-14 times
Making sure you get the middle and both sides of the tongue
Rinse the debris off the scraper under a running tap with hot water and then hang the scraper to dry
Rinse your mouth with water
Copper contains anti bacterial properties making it a great choice for a tongue scraper.
